Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in
which you live in order to be qualified to vote.
If you do not know if you are registered at your current residence
address (or if you are registered under your current name), you can check your
own voter registration status online using the link on the Registrar’s
website, or call at (804) 966-9699.
Please
do not delay. Registration books are
“closed” to new registrations and changes during the 21 days prior to any
election. In Virginia, there are
elections every November, and there may be party primaries or special
elections at other times.
