at the New Kent Extension Office, at the 1930 New Kent School.

March 13 Rappahannock Regional Odyssey of the
Mind Tournament 9 am to 4 pm. New Kent Schools will host
the competition which will include student teams from different grades
at 5 venues at various New Kent Schools. New Kent has 7 teams
competing. The awards ceremony will be at 5 or 5:30 pm in the
New Kent High School Gym. The event is free and open to the
public.
March 13 "Single, Saved, and
Pregnant" Workshop 11 am to 2 pm at
New
Covenant Community Church, 2700 Pocahontas Trail. Workshop/brunch
for moms and women of all ages who have gifts that need to be

March 14 Daylight Savings Time Begins
Set your clocks forward one hour At 2 am on Sunday set your
clocks forward to 3 am. US
Daylight Savings runs from the second Sunday in March to the first
Sunday in November.
March 14 Brunswick Stew Sale noon at
the New Kent Fire and Rescue Station 4 site on Rt. 60 in Lanexa (at
the large thermometer) Funds go towards construction of the New
Station 4 firehouse.

March 21 The Battle of Eltham's Landing
2 pm at New Kent Middle School. John Goddard will speak on the
April 1862 New Kent County battle that blocked the Union Army from
cutting off the confederate withdrawal after the Battle of
Williamsburg. Sponsored by the New Kent County Historic
Commission. Admission is free. Open to the Public.
