New Kent County is located in Eastern Virginia between Richmond and Williamsburg. Schools: Students attend 4 schools: New Kent Elementary School (K-5), George W. Watkins Elementary School (K-5), New Kent Middle School (6-8), and New Kent High School (9-12). All 4 have received passing scores on Virginia's Standards of Learning tests and are all fully accredited by the State . New Kent Schools Page. Newspapers: The bi-weekly New Kent Charles City Chronicle covers both New Kent and Charles City Counties, and can be picked up free at various locations. The weekly Tidewater Review is published in West Point and covers several counties. The Richmond Times Dispatch and the Newport News Daily Press are daily papers published in neighboring cities. Recreation: Golf: Royal New Kent Golf Course, Brookwoods Golf Club and Brickshire Golf Course are located in New Kent County, with others planned and numerous courses in nearby Williamsburg and Richmond. A new course is being built at New Kent Vineyards. Sports Car Racing: Dragonsridge Motor Sports Park is in the process of developing a 2.8 mile sports car track in the eastern part of the County. CC residents. Fares are $1 each way anywhere in Charles City or New
