February 1-28 Black History Month Exhibit 9 am to 3 pm weekdays at the New Kent Visitors Center,7324 Vineyards Pkwy, New Kent County, Virginia 23124, hosted by the African American Heritage Society of New Kent County Virginia.  The exhibit focuses on "Colored Schools in New Kent" after 1866.

March 6 Providence Forge Ruritan Brunswick Stew Sale 10 am to 1 pm at C&F Bank in Quinton, C&F Bank in Providence Forge, and Sandston Cleaners.  Virginia State Fair Award Winning Brunswick Stew Recipe.  $8 per Quart, 3 for $20. 

March 14 Daylight Saving Time Begins Set your clocks forward one hour.  At 2 am on Sunday set your clocks forward to 3 am.  US Daylight Saving runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.

Those who live or work in New Kent County, are 18 years of age and older, and wish to sign up for an appointment to receive the vaccine are now eligible and should call the New Kent County COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at (804) 966-9677. The call center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

April 22 Former "Colored" Schools of New Kent County 2pm live by zoom.  This presentation is sponsored by the AAHS-NK and The Richard Bowman Center For Local History of Charles City County.  It will discuss colored education in New Kent County from 1866 thru the desegregation of New Kent Schools in 1969.
