August 27 New Kent Peace &Unity Walk 9 to 11 am beginning at the 1930 New Kent Historic School and ending at New Kent Courthouse.  The walk is in support of Law Enforcement.

August 31 New Kent High School Freshmen Orientation 8 am at the high school, 7365 Egypt Rd, New Kent, VA 23124. Parents and students are welcome to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00am. The program will begin at 8:00am.  For more information call 804-966-9671.

October 11, 18, 25 - “New Kent History Tour” New Kent history class at Rappahannock Community College, New Kent Campus at New Kent Courthouse 1 to 3 pm.  Taught by LaVonne Allen. Tour Cedar Lane, Cedar Grove, Iden, Emmaus Church and the old courthouse. Walk the old wagon trail and visit the museum and greet a mystery guest.
