September 4 DMV at New Kent Courthouse  9 am to 4 pm. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles will bring their offices to the parking lot of the historic New Kent Courthouse for all DMV transactions including, Driver's licenses and ID cards, road and knowledge tests, and pictures taken.  Customers can order disabled parking placards or plates, get vehicle titles, license plates and decals.

September 10 New Kent Winery Cooking Class Morning Class: 11 am to 2 pm; Afternoon Class: 4 to 7 pm  at the Winery.  Chef Tammy Brawley, Chef of Richmond's The Green Kitchen will provide recipes, demonstrations and gourmet food along with wines from New Kent Winery.  Classes are $50 per person.
