October 17 Harvest Hoedown at Holly Fork Pumpkin Patch 10 am to 4 pm.  Vendors, horse/pony rides, inflatables, good food, pumpkin launching, corn maze, fire trucks, hay rides, balloons, a great blue grass band & more.

October 17, 18  History Lands at Cumberland Plantation  10 am to 5 pm each day.  Sponsored by the New Kent Historical Society. The event will be held on the grounds of Cumberland Plantation, and include exhibits of the Civil War period, food and entertainment. Costumed interpreters will be on site to help visitors understand the role of all who lived in eastern Virginia at the time.  The event will also include tours of the Cumberland mansion, crafts, music, and Civil War Re-enactors.   For more information contact Martha at museum@newkenthistoricalsoc.com.
