August 26 New Kent Unity Walk 9 to 11 am from the historic New Kent School to New Kent Courthouse.  New Kent Citizens, Law Enforcement, Prosecutors and Community Working to Achieve Peace and Justice for All.

August 26 Bridges of Change Celebrity Waiter Event 11 am to 8 pm at Colonial Kitchen & Market, 11861 New Kent Hwy, New Kent 23124.  Law enforcement, community leaders and officials will be serving you to earn taips in support of opening the new emergency domestic violence shelter - Bridges of Change. Servers include Delegate Chris Peace, Rodney Hathaway, Joe McLaughlin, Robet Tyler and Linwood Gregory (11 am to 1 pm); Sarah Okalita, Lee Bailey, Rick Opett, and Jon Martz (1 to 3 pm); Bobby Mawyer, Sandy Ragsdale, J. August 30 New Kent High School Trojan Theatre Fundraiser 5 to 9 pm at Chipotle Restaurant, 1413 Richmond Rd in Williamsburg.  Tell the cashier that you are supporting New Kent Trojan Theatre, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Theatre.

August 31 New Kent High School Freshmen Orientation 8 to 11 am at the high school, 7365 Egypt Rd, New Kent, VA 23124. Parents and students are welcome to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00am. The program will begin at 8:00am.  For more information call 804-966-9671.
