October 11, 12  History Lands at Cumberland Plantation  9 am to 6 pm each day.  Sponsored by the New Kent Historical Society. The event will be held on the grounds of Cumberland Plantation, and include exhibits of the period, a military encampment, ships, food and entertainment. Costumed interpreters will be on site to help visitors understand the role of all who lived in eastern Virginia at the time contact Martha at museum@newkenthistoricalsoc.com.
